At the young age of 17, Dr. Ali graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond Virginia where he received his Bachelor’s degree. He went on to the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) to complete his Graduate studies. At MCV his nickname was Doogie Howser!
His passion for surgery was ignited by Legends like Dr. Laskin and Dr. Niamtu. He pursued his surgery career starting with residency training at Temple University Hospital covering multiple Level 1 Trauma centers to gain intensive and comprehensive surgical experience. Dr. Ali’s nickname at Temple was Mr. Happy. Between Graduate School and Residency training, Dr. Ali spent two years diversifying his surgical experience in Nashville, TN with one of the busiest surgeons in the country, Dr. Carter, and at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.
