The World Health Organization defines mental health as “the state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community. Therefore, mental health is the foundation for well-being and effective functioning not only for an individual, but also for an entire community. Unfortunately, viable solutions for mental health disorders are lacking. The hope of this organization is that within our lifetime, collaborative research will promote the development of effective treatments for mental healthcare by addressing the following areas of research and treatment
