DEA Music and Art is the product of a few scholarly musicians coming together to share their knowledge with a younger generation. They opened their first New York location in 2003, and music lovers from across the state have since signed up for their piano lessons, art classesand summer music programs. Every DEA Music and Art location offers violin, guitar, music theory, voiceand piano lessons — and theNorth Gannon studio offers lessons for woodwind instruments. The music department caters to children of all abilities starting at age three. Art classes are also designed to be age appropriate and teach fundamental lessons including color theory, drawingand composition.
