Vacuum pouches are developed for machines that perform external vacuum. Miniature layered vacuum pouches are made of food-grade plastic material. These vacuum pouches are suitable for use in chamber vacuum sealers. These bags consist of 2 smooth layers of polyamide (nylon)-polyethylene barrier material. 3 mil is the most common thickness of vacuum bags that meet USDA food packaging standards. These bags do not have a fine mesh layer because the chamber vacuum machine evacuates the air as the bag enters the chamber.
