When I first started as a new therapist in a busy private practice, I quickly realized that most of my clients had suffered some form of trauma in their lives that was keeping them stuck. I trained to be a counselor because I truly wanted to help people overcome their past. As I came across more and more clients struggling with their trauma symptoms, I started to look around for ways to better prepare myself to help the population I served. I got trained in EMDR therapy, and started using that as a modality to help my existing clients. Since COVID, I have been offering remote EMDR and am amazed at the results. EMDR changes lives.
