The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God was founded in 1977 with Pastor Edir Macedo providing the earliest services in a bandstand in Rio de Janeiro. Guided by unshakable faith, the Universal Church grew to establish a presence in over 100 countries and over 20 states in the US. The church provides community in which congregants grow stronger through the power of prayer. The Youth Power Group (YPG) focuses on guiding young adults through life’s challenges and helps them make good decisions or overcome bad ones.
