USTASC security officers’ primary duty is the prevention and deterrence of crime, and to protect property and clients’ assets (people, money, etc.) by utilizing preventative measures. USTASC security personnel enforce company rules and site policies and procedures, can act to protect lives and property, and often have a contractual obligation to provide these actions. In addition to basic deterrence, USTASC security officers are trained to perform specialized tasks such as baton, handcuffing and restraints, operate emergency equipment, perform first aid, CPR, take accurate notes, write detailed reports, and perform other tasks as required by the client they are serving. Services include, but not limited to, vehicle patrol, security in dormitories, security at special events, and parking lot patrol.
