At 24, Pastor Rick underwent a life transformation while listening to Metallica in September 1994. Recognizing the need for change, he embraced purpose, spiritual values, and faith. This second chance fueled his commitment to helping those in destructive cycles.

In these challenging times, Pastor Rick serves as a servant leader locally and internationally. He is the Pastor of Iglesia Crosspoint, a bilingual church in Bellaire, Texas, and a Staff Evangelist at West University Baptist Church. Additionally, he is a John Maxwell Certified Life Coach and Spiritual Motivator, personally embodying the values he teaches.

The 1st Stone Recovery Support Group is a 12-week life intervention program providing impactful content for young individuals, parents, and anyone caught in destructive cycles. It challenges participants to overcome addictive behaviors and emotional hurdles, guiding them toward a purpose-driven existence.

Covering topics like Relapse Prevention, Attitude, Choices, Emotional Stability, Recovery Support, the 4 Pillars (King/Queen, Warrior, Mentor, Friend), and Spiritual Foundation, the program accepts referrals for teenagers, young adults, and parents. Each referral undergoes a case-by-case evaluation. Successful graduates receive a free certificate of completion. Upon graduation, each 1st Stone graduate is assigned a mentor for 6 months to apply their learnings to real life. All classes are in-person and conducted exclusively in Spanish.
