Alex Voorhees is a highly accomplished kayaker with over 20 years of experience, as well as an author and owner of wekayaking.com. Born and raised in Meridian, Idaho, Alex began paddling at the age of 6 on the Payette River and has since navigated some of the world's most challenging waterways, including the Amazon, Norwegian fjords, and New Zealand streams. Alex's impressive list of accomplishments includes winning the Whitewater Grand Prix and Freestyle Kayak World Championships, making the podium in two Junior World Championships, winning the GoPro Mountain Games Steep Creek Championships, and multiple top 5 finishes in the North Fork Championship. He has also been nominated for "Male Rider of the Year" and "Male Paddler of the Year" multiple times.
