Where it all began (1978)
Our roots in Sealy go back to 1978, when Cliff Jones purchased the Fat Jo’s Chevrolet franchise and established what would become the foundation of today’s dealership operations. From the beginning, the business earned a reputation for doing things the right way—treating customers fairly, standing behind what we sell, and staying resilient through economic ups and downs.
Expanding to meet the needs of our customers (1996–1999)
As the community grew and customers’ needs expanded, so did we. In 1996, the company entered the RV business, bringing the same customer-first mindset to a broader range of products and services.
In 1999, Cliff Jones brought in Jim Pursley to help grow and expand the operation—at the time, the dealership was still a single location. That era marked a major step forward in building the strong, full-service dealership model we’re known for today.
A Sealy staple—and a family legacy (2015–today)
Over the years, Cliff Jones became a familiar name to customers across the I-10 corridor and surrounding communities. The business has been described as a staple in Sealy since 1978, and in 2015, the Pursley family took over, continuing the tradition of local leadership and long-term relationships with customers.
Our Sealy location—positioned to serve customers throughout Southeast Texas—has helped generations of landowners, ranchers, and small businesses find the equipment they need and the support they deserve.
Why Bad Boy Tractor—and why now (2026)
Cliff Jones has always evolved with the needs of the people we serve. We first entered the market with Mahindra tractors, then Gravely zero turn mowers, with Kioti Tractors coming a few years later, as well as Segway Powersports. While these are all fantastic machines, we were very excited to be invited to carry a full line manufacturer with such strong brand recognition and customer loyalty. That’s why we’re proud to bring Bad Boy Tractors to Sealy as an authorized dealership, expanding our equipment lineup with hardworking machines built for real-world jobs. In early 2026, we began announcing and showcasing our Bad Boy tractor packages and new inventory to the community—another step forward in our mission to be the go-to local partner for equipment, parts, and service.
