When we reflect on our hometown upbringing, a multitude of fond memories from childhood and adolescence come flooding back to us of numerous weekend trips visiting our local Army Surplus Store with our fathers. The mission was simple, locate the latest “Great Find” hidden underneath a pile of musty BDU’s scattered in the corner of some old traditional Army Surplus Store. An American tradition that dates back decades. These stores were the places at which Army Surplus met civilian demand; where Army Surplus uniforms, boots, and equipment from any time after World War II up to the Iraq/Afghanistan theatre were available to the public. From cold winter clothing options to equipment needed for weekend hunting at the family deer camp. Not to mention a cherished bonding experience between father and son or father and daughter that is almost as old as the nation itself. We here at Coleman's never forget those simple beginnings for us and strive to uphold those traditional core values into the 21st century.
