Business Description
Don has a general practice, primarily representing people, in matters ranging from criminal defense, civil trials, domestic relations, and landlord-tenant matters as well as matters involving business formation, wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate. Don will guide you through the legal system and help you understand in clear and straight forward language the complexities of your case, and he will help you find solutions that work best for you.
Don graduated from the University of Denver in 1968 with a B.S.B.A. in accounting, served in the U.S. Army in 1969-1970, and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver in 1972. He served as the attorney for the students at the University of Northern Colorado from 1972 – 1985 and has been in private practice during that time and to the present. He has tried numerous jury trials and trials to the court.
He was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1972 and attended advanced training in Trial Advocacy at the National College of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Public Defenders (now the National College of Criminal Defense) in 1975, the National College of Advocacy in 1976, the Advanced Advocacy College in 1977, and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in 1978.
When he’s not busy at the office, Don enjoys being in the mountains, watching the Broncos, swimming, eating carrots, and spending time with his family and his two dogs.
