Matthew T. Scaffa, DDS Dr. Matthew Thomas Scaffa graduated from New York University in 1985 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) and has been working as a dentist on Staten Island, NY, for nearly 30 years. Before attending dental school, he completed his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at Stony Brook University. To ensure that he keeps abreast of emerging technologies and procedures in dentistry, Dr. Scaffa annually averages about 20 Continuing Education (CE) units. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association and the 2nd District Dental Society. To provide the highest possible level of care to his patients, he has received advanced training in implant dentistry, Invisalign®, and Lumineers® cosmetic veneers.

Dr. Scaffa opened his practice on Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY, in 1985, moved his practice to a larger office at 127 Foster Road, Staten Island, NY, in 1988 and then moved for the final time to an even larger office and his current location (112 Foster Road, Staten Island, NY) in 2000. He continually seeks to provide professional and high-quality dental care for his patients. In doing so, he hopes to always “over-deliver” for his patients so that they will have healthy and beautiful smiles.

Dr. Scaffa’s family is extremely important to him. He has been blessed with three sons and his wonderful wife. They have been and will always be his driving force and his strength. One of Dr. Scaffa’s hobbies is SCUBA diving, and he has earned his PADI certification for SCUBA.
