What was the inspiration behind creating your own marketplace for sustainable products?

Growing up as a daughter of a farmer & shoemaker, I have always been sensitive to the preservation of nature as well as the promotion of ethical human working conditions. I believe that the only way to preserve the most beautiful things in life is to engage in sustainable development & living.

I have observed the fashion & cosmetics industry for quite a long time now while living in France where the fashion capital of the world is. I realized how many practices are totally unethical for most of the biggest commercial brands. As a follower of the adage “consume less, consume better”, I launched my own sustainable fashion brand Escapade last 2015 in the hopes of raising more awareness about the cause. And welcomed the new decade by launching etikway.com this 2020 to make shopping experience for sustainable fashion & natural cosmetics a lot easier.
