“Medical Eats” is a women-owned food business that specializes in providing healthy, medical-grade meal options to patients and healthcare professionals. Founded by Rocio Palomino a Peruvian American Cordon Bleu Chef who brings a South American flare and Macarena Pena a UCLA RN who loves seeing people thrive and a truly compassionate soul, the company’s mission is to make healthy eating easy and accessible, especially for those dealing with chronic illnesses or undergoing medical treatment. Dealing with parents who have suffered through cancer and numerous health conditions we decided to take it into our own hands and start cooking meals for my loved ones who were hospitalized or unable to fend for themselves. I wanted to bring a little bit of comfort and joy to their stay by providing them with healthy and delicious food that they could actually enjoy, unlike the unappetizing hospital fare.
