Dr. Miguel Fana Jr. serves as President of Fana Medical Group, an Internal Medicine/Family Medicine practice with four offices split between Pinellas and Pasco County. Dr. Fana completed his residency training at New York Hospital-Queens, a Weill Cornell Medical College Affiliate, where he served his program as Chief Resident.

In 2009, in appreciation of his tireless efforts, he was awarded the Teaching Faculty of the Year Award by the St Petersburg General Family Medicine Residency Program. He currently supports the Catholic Foundation, serves on the Finance Committee of St Cecelia Catholic Church, and supports an orphanage caring for over 50 orphaned boys and young men in his home country of the Dominican Republic.

Politically, Dr. Fana has advocated at both local and national levels for legislation that protects the profession of medicine. Dr. Miguel Fana's passion for serving his community and the profession of medicine led to his recognition, in 2010, with Health Care America's Dr. Frist Humanitarian Award, HCA's highest honor.
