Hi, I’m Matt Kays, the founder of Mountain Event Services. I started our company on my back patio in 2013. I had just lost my job at a successful event entertainment and media production company. We became so successful that we was bought out by our main local competitor. I found myself and my colleagues (talented, passionate, dynamic and experienced event and media professionals) without a job. I love making unforgettable event experiences and taking care of event planners. And I would not consider doing anything else.

I have worked as a DJ in the festival, club, broadcasting, and special event industries since 1995. I have been an event manager and producer since 2009. During that time, learned about the challenges that event planners face when working to put together a memorable event. Through my work experience and continuing education, I know how to solve them. I am just as passionate about learning best practices and innovations in the event and wedding industry. I enjoy sharing this knowledge quickly with our in-house event team. Its our customers and their guests that really benefit from this.
