Business Description

The Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by petitioners Rajesh Khairatilal Bajaj, Rajesh Alias Bobby Bajaj, and others against Avinash Bhosale group and others were dismissed by The Bombay High Court on July 24th, 2019. The petition was dismissed as the Honorable Chief Justice of Bombay High Court observed that some persons use the PIL as a tool to extract money from the third parties. The Honourable Court added that the persons who profess in order to aid the social causes should be of high moral character themselves.

The PIL was filed in 2015 against Avinash Bhosale Group's project called Castel Royale Towers by Rajesh Bajaj and others as well as the residents in Bhosale Nagar, Pune.

The case was originally dismissed in the year 2016 due to the faults present on the side of the petitioner. One of the petitioners attempted to rationalize defaults during the last hearing before the Honorable Court by invoking viral illness and ongoing medical treatment. Later, the Honorable Court was informed Petitioner was litigating a Criminal Complaint during the earlier periods of default based on the circumstances recorded. The petitioner also submitted a questionable medical certificate while the petitioner, Rajesh Bajaj, was found to be impersonating a lawyer, which the Honorable Court had already come to know.

"We've been constantly disrespected by self-proclaimed RTI activists, but we've kept our hope in the courts, and the reality has now won out. We are sure that such orders will discourage false lawsuits. The RTI Act, as well as other procedures such as the Public Interest Litigation Act, are regularly exploited for self-serving purposes, and this must halt. " Mr. Amit Bhosale, Managing Director of the Avinash Bhosale Group, remarked in response to the ruling.
