About The Hybrid Learning Company

The Hybrid Learning Company, originally founded as Oxford Fusion Academy in 2018 by Jeanne Hotchkiss, started with a vision to provide flexible, hybrid learning opportunities for homeschool families. Over the years, Jeanne has crafted the program into what it is today – offering two locations that provide homeschool support services two days a week through a hybrid learning model.

Our first location, Oxford Hybrid Primary at Lakepoint Church, serves students in DK-5th grade. Our newest location, Legacy Hybrid in Rochester at Oakland Church, also supports students in DK-5th grade and will expand to include grades 6-8 in the Fall of 2023.

As the program grew, Jeanne brought on Misty Martin as Co-Director to help manage the increasing demand and support the mission of the company. Together, Jeanne and Misty are dedicated to helping homeschool parents teach core subjects while also offering students an enriching classroom experience two days a week. This format allows students to learn, participate in hands-on experiments, and engage socially with their peers, making learning both fun and effective.

Our Services

At The Hybrid Learning Company, we offer a range of services designed to create an enriching and supportive learning environment for homeschool students. Our hybrid model blends the flexibility of homeschooling with structured classroom-based support.

Core Subjects: Students receive direct instruction in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies two days a week in the classroom. On the remaining days, students work independently at home with support materials and resources provided by us.

Personalized Learning Plans: Every student’s educational path is unique. We work closely with families to create personalized learning plans that allow children to progress at their own pace and achieve their academic goals.

Classroom Experience: Students attend in-person classes two days a week, where they engage in interactive learning activities, hands-on experiments, and projects that reinforce their academic growth. This in-person experience provides structure and allows students to build valuable social connections with their peers.

Support for Homeschool Parents: We offer ongoing support to parents, helping them teach core subjects and providing guidance when needed. Our goal is to partner with families and ensure they feel equipped and confident in their homeschooling journey.

Socialization Opportunities: By attending classes two days a week, students have the chance to interact with other children, developing important social skills and forming friendships in a structured setting.

Growth and Expansion: In Fall 2023, we will expand our offerings to include grades 6-8 at our Legacy Hybrid location in Rochester, allowing us to continue supporting homeschooling families as their children grow.
