"Thomas Dodge's Great Southwest," where I'm inviting you to join me on explorations of the culture, history and lands of the Southwestern United States through my photography, essays and poetry. I'm a photographer and writer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For 40 years, I've travelled the world photographing and writing for media, commercial and fine arts clients. My years on our family's farm in southern Minnesota formed my interest in photojournalistic coverage of agricultural and conservation issues. Think of this site as an online magazine. It features photo essays and portfolios from my recent and current adventures throughout America's great Southwest. We'll explore the diverse cultures and history of this region, its natural wonders and spectacles. I'll introduce you to great artists and innovators who call the Southwest home.
