I am a wife, mother & grandmother who has recently retired from years of fostercare.

I initially started my small business on Etsy because I couldn't find patterns or kits that appealed to me online. I like designs that are beautiful but also timeless. I consider that every single embroidered piece we do is an heirloom that a future generation will potentially cherish. Even as beginners- our stitcheries tell a story. If our mastery of embroidery improves over time, that too is part of our story. And *what* we stitch is part of that story as well. Imagine how blessed you would consider yourself to be if you possessed something that your mother, grandmother or great-grandmother had hand embroidered. You wouldn't care that the stitches were perfect or that the flowers were the wrong color to hang in your bedroom- it would be a piece of your history and a small time capsule into the life of your grandma. Never toss out or donate your embroideries when they have overstayed their welcome on your wall. Just lay them flat and store them away in tissue paper. That too, will tell your story.

Although I have been embroidering since my Aunt Marge taught me when I was in 6th grade, I am especially in love with embroidery now that our world is a little off-kilter. I yearn for simple things, mindfulness, peace & quiet, & time to breathe. Embroidery has given me all that and more.
