The Village of Richmond Hill BIA is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the economic and social well-being of the historic Village of Richmond Hill. It operates as a Business Improvement Area (BIA), bringing together property owners, business operators, and commercial tenants to collaboratively promote and improve their business area. The BIA is governed by a Board of Management, composed of member business volunteers appointed by the BIA membership and endorsed by the Town of Richmond Hill Council. Committees, comprising Board members and business representatives, contribute to goal-setting. Funding for the BIA is generated through a special tax levy on commercially assessed properties within its boundaries, allocated proportionately based on assessed values, with the annual budget approved by the VRHBIA membership and endorsed by the Town of Richmond Hill Council.
