Business Description

We know that different kinds of bedding sheets are available at an online bedding store. Materials play a significant role in the feel of your sheets. However, the fabric's weave can affect how durable or soft it feels. While you can pay close attention to thread count and the material, you should be aware of the kind of weave. There are a variety of weaves made from cotton that could impact the performance of your sheets. When purchasing fresh sheets to cover your mattress, it is a factor to consider.

Percale

Percale sheets (pronounced "per-kail") are made from cotton. They are made with a plain weave with one yarn over and one yarn under that gives a smooth, sharp look. They soften as they wash and are great for those who sleep hot and in warm temperatures. They're not wrinkle-proof, so it's recommended to take their dryer immediately after completion.

Sateen

Although sateen sheets are similar to the satin sheet, they're not meant to confuse each other. The satin weave (one under three over) produces sateen sheets; however, yarn is utilized instead of filament fibers. Despite the differences in the material, sateen sheets are as beautiful and silky smooth as satin. They're less durable than percale sheets but are better for those who sleep cold or in cold temperatures.
